Ok Crabby - I've searched that picture several times over, and I cannot find an "X"!!
You actually have to go to that place, and into the woods. It's on Georgian Bay. Better to go in the summer.Then find x.
Maybe the "X" is implicitly hidden in the grass or the attic of mathematics? I guess the answer is42.
42 is a compelling guess, but perhaps I was not clear. I'm not concerned with the value of x. I just want to find it. I expect that it's in the woods, maybe a little deeper in than this photograph allows us to see.

I would imagine you could find "X" almost anywhere.
