My Position on Same Sex Marriage

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...

Yes, I'm bored with the discussion. It can't hurt, and one would hope that the folks hired to run our country can see that.

Yay, Mother!

My mother is not all that happy about all this delicately worded non-denominational business around Christmas.

Festive Season my ass”, she barks. “It’s Christmas!! Okay??"

She’s sending out a card that she created herself this year, shown above, to let folks know just how she feels.

I've never been prouder.

Epiphany

This makes me feel glad all over. I guess you can only plug your nose for so long. And cover your eyes and ears and curl up in a little ball.

Arrogance & Stupidity not Official_Republican_Platform

Alberto Fernandez, a senior U.S. diplomat in the State Department's bureau of Near Eastern affairs appears to support sneaking suspicions harboured by, um, a whole bunch of us, regarding the situation in Iraq.

Speaking on Al-Jazeera television on Saturday, Mr. Fernandez said "We tried to do our best but I think there is much room for criticism because, undoubtedly, there was arrogance and there was stupidity from the United States in Iraq."

An administration official said that Fernandez was not repeating the administration position, and wondered whether the translation was accurate. A couple in their forties, eastbound on a secondary highway in southwestern Ontario, upon hearing this over the radio laughed their asses off but were able to maintain control of their vehicle.

Nuclear Weapon Test Narrowly Averted

This Can’t be Right has learned that on Monday of this week the USA did not conduct any nuclear weapons tests. That the superpower was content to forgo such testing (on Monday) is thought to be in part attributable to a degree of comfort that the US established between 1945 and 1992, during which time they conducted not less than one thousand fifty four (1,054) such tests, and two (2) honest-to-goodness nuclear attacks against real live targets.

North Korea unfortunately cannot claim the same moral high ground.

A Group of 11 Disgruntled Conservatives

No story here; I just thought the title had a pleasing ring to it.

the October 1 cartoon

This post is inspired by The Frog Lady, who did a delightful job producing all (when there were 11) of the Liberal leadership candidates in this style a while back. The cartoons are created using South Park Studio.

The number twenty-four.

I kind of like numbers, and this here one is about as good as any, I suppose. So there you have it. Twenty Four.
